Lisa Schorr
Lisa Schorr works in watercolor and pen & ink. She is an artist who enjoys the simple life of her country home in southeastern Ohio. The wonders of nature that are all around her are often the subject of her art. She resides with her husband Mike and their two wire-hair terriers, Boggy and Pearl.
Studio time each day is a priority for Lisa and one can generally find several works in progress at any one time. Commissioned works of homes or paintings of loved pets ranging from dogs to cockatoos have graced her easel. More recently, Lisa has captured her own love of nature through her expressionistic artwork, painting the beauty of God’s own backyard in southern Ohio. Growing into her own identity, Lisa has allowed that same expressionistic attitude to expand with the use of vivid color, and her own interpretation of subject. Many of her works of art now grace homes, businesses, and corporations of central Ohio.
Her work can be viewed in person at the Monarch Gallery or a more complete selection at http://lisaschorr.blogspot.com. Lisa teaches adult and children watercolor classes at the Monarch Gallery and also at The Decorative Arts Center of Ohio in Lancaster. Professional memberships include:
    Member: Lancaster Art Guild
Founding member: The Monarch Gallery in Lancaster, Ohio
    Member: Central Ohio Watercolor Society
