Step into the world of Lilly Martin Spencer through her artwork and the decorative arts of her time and place. Spencer’s paintings and prints will be displayed side-by-side with period pieces as depicted in her work.
With an emphasis on the rich decorative arts history of Ohio, visitors will learn about the forms and styles popular during the nineteenth century. Spencer’s work depicts scenes of everyday life, meant to inspire moral behavior through whimsy and symbols of goodness.
