ARTFUL PAPER: Cut, Folded & Fabulous
Extraordinary Objects in Paper
January 30 – April 18, 2010
Barbara Hunzicker and Hal Stevens, Curators
With this exhibition, paper will no longer be stuck in the background. It will come out from under the paint to be the star, the headliner. Paper artists today are using the most common, familiar and expendable materials we know to create extraordinary objects using everything from paper grocery bags to ticket stubs -the list is endless. Paper will be molded, folded, cut and bent into a fanciful paper environment of vessels, collage, origami, katagami, hats, clothes and books.
