We have implemented some new policies for the safety of our students and teachers. We are keeping classes small and socially distanced. Face coverings are welcome, as is hand washing/sanitizing. We are cleaning regularly and have upgraded our HVAC system. ​

Improve your watercolor skills by learning about composition, color, and painting techniques in this fun Wednesday class. Each week, students will begin a new painting from a photograph or a still life. Students should bring their own watercolor supplies.

Designed for individuals who are toward the beginning of their watercolor journey, this class further explores the basics of painting using this medium. Topics covered in this six-week course include composition, color and painting techniques. Watercolor supplies are provided.

Quilting

Tie Dye Workshop

Using basic tie dye techniques, students will create a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art that will leave you feeling groovy. Please provide your T-shirt size when registering.

Silk Scarf

Create a wearable piece of art in this silk scarf class that will heighten your sense of design and leave you with your own unique wardrobe piece. An experienced instructor will be on hand to guide you through the process and help you develop your own style. ​
Ceramic Cups

Come make your own ceramic cups with us! Students will be guided through the making and glazing process to produce their unique, food-safe cup. After final firing, cups will be ready for pick up.

Tataki Zome
Ages 15-adult

In this class that explores the ancient art of Tataki Zome, participants will apply leaves, flowers, and ferns onto fabric and paper to create original works of art. Pieces created using this safe, easy, and environmentally-friendly technique are suitable for framing. ​
Intro to Wet Felting
Ages 15-adult

Learn the basics of wet felting. Learn how to lay out wool roving and the process used to turn it into a piece of wool felt. You will create a flat piece of wool felt, which can be used as a small table runner, or cut into coasters.
​
The class requires some physical work, similar to rolling and kneading dough.

Kantha Jacket

Watercolor Adventure

This is not the usual watercolor class; we will paint on several different surfaces with unusual objects and add things you’ve never thought of. Come prepared to have fun.

Plein Air
Mondays, 10:00am-12:00 pm

Bring your own painting supplies and meet at Rising Park or the Fairfield County Fairgrounds at 10:00am. Paint until 12:00. Everyone is welcome to come paint, sketch, or just observe. This is not a class, but a chance to experience plein air painting with other artists and learn from each other.
If it is raining, there will be no plein air painting.
